The educational philosophy of Horizons Christian Academy is to meet the needs of each student not just the majority, therefore, raising the standard of education for everyone.

Class sizes are smaller to allow for more individualized instruction. If the need arises to combine classes, both individual student needs and grade-level expectations are addressed. Students learn at different rates and in different ways regardless of whether they are in a single grade level or a combination class. Ongoing assessments support the teacher in making instructional decisions while considering individual student needs.

If students begin to struggle academically, socially, or emotionally the teachers and administration of Horizons Christian Academy develop an action plan that targets goals for the student in an area of need. These goals, as well as ways to support them, are shared with parents. Further collaboration for the student continues based on need.

Entrance tests are not required for students planning to enroll in the Academy. However, we may provide assessments for students who are considering enrollment. These assessments are shared with the parents and specific goals can be targeted for your child.
