Let’s make sure we prepare our students for life…
Oftentimes parents shield their children more than they should. No one wants their children to be unhappy, frustrated, disappointed, etc. We have to understand that these emotions are a definite part of our being and we must learn to deal with them. Life does not always deal us a favorable hand; sometimes it’s just downright hard!! But, children need to learn how to deal with these emotions at an early age. We have to understand that we are robbing our children the opportunity to grow and learn to deal with life. God, our Heavenly Father is the perfect parent and He definitely does not shield us from disappointments. As a matter of fact, He says for us to rejoice when they come our way because we know that we are going to be stronger if we endure them by using our faith. How much more should we be doing the same thing for our children if we really love them. Let’s follow His example and learn from Him.
